MFS Institutional Advisors (MFS) wanted to attract the attention of large institutional investors, who are bombarded with unsolicited literature, usually in a standard 8-1/2 X 11 format. This direct mail campaign purposely featured a different size brochure to tell the store of a different kind of company. MFS had a sterling reputation and solid track record, but chose to keep a low public profile. Accordingly, the brochure featured people who, like MFS, were not particularly well known, people who not only accomplished great things, but also exemplified traits and principles valued by MFS.
